Pasco-Hernando State College scored above the national average on both the Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) and Practical Nurse (PN) during the 2024 National Council Licensure Examination (NCLEX).
PHSC scored a 97.27% pass rate for first-time candidates on the ADN NCLEX compared to the national pass rate of 90.63%. PHSC also scored above average for first-time candidates on the PN NCLEX, with a 100% pass rate compared to a national average of 88.38%.
“I am extremely proud of the work that the faculty, staff and students do that consistently support the College’s core values of Excellence and Success, as evidenced by the NCLEX pass rates year after year,” said PHSC’s Dean of Nursing and Health Programs, Billie Gabbard Ed.D., MSN, RN.
“The pass rates in both the ADN and PN programs speak volumes to the excellency of PHSC’s nursing programs, faculty, and students. The dedication and hard work from the students and faculty, as well as our community partners, allows our students to shine and enter the nursing profession with a phenomenal nursing foundation and clinical judgment skill set to provide high-quality patient care throughout our communities,” said PHSC Associate Dean of Nursing Patricia Stewart, DNP, APRN, CPNP, CNE.
PHSC offers the following health professions programs: BS Nursing (RN-BSN), AS Nursing (RN-ADN), AS Nursing (RN), AS Registered Nurse Paramedic, AS Radiography, AS Surgical Technology, AS Emergency Medical Services, AS Dental Hygienist, AS Social and Human Services, and more programs.
