Expected to open next summer, the more than $2 million project will provide crisis intervention, assessment and referral services for individuals experiencing a mental health or substance use crisis.

BayCare CEO Stephanie Conners, Pasco County Sheriff Chris Nocco, State Senator Ed Hooper and State Representative Brad Yeager are among the dignitaries gathering in support of BayCare Behavioral Health’s new Central Receiving Facility (CRF) in New Port Richey, Fla. Expected to open next summer, the more than $2 million project will provide crisis intervention, assessment and referral services for individuals experiencing a mental health or substance use crisis.

The first of its kind in Pasco County, the new CRF will aid law enforcement by providing interventional health care from experienced behavioral health professionals, reducing the need for Baker Act hospitalizations. As the leading provider of behavioral health care services in West Central Florida, BayCare is excited to share details of how we are expanding care and providing greater access to behavioral health services across the region. What:                 A groundbreaking ceremony for Pasco County’s first behavioral health Central Receiving Facility. Guest speakers to deliver brief remarks, followed by a reception with light refreshments. Optional tours of BayCare’s Behavioral Health Urgent Care center, which opened in February, are also available.
