Richey Suncoast Theatre is launching a dynamic new Playwrights’ Workshop, and we need more than just writers. We are building a creative engine, and we want actors and directors to be part of the foundation.
This is your backstage pass to the raw creative process. Whether you are a seasoned storyteller or just starting, this is your chance to:
- Develop original plays in a supportive, hands-on environment.
- Collaborate across disciplines to bring scripts from the page to the stage.
- Sharpen cold-reading and performance skills through live workshopping.
- Produce—contribute to a one-act festival premiering August 2026!
The Mission – This isn’t a lecture; it’s a lab. We connect playwrights with the actors and directors who will eventually breathe life into their work. Our goal is a collaborative development cycle that culminates in a high-energy festival of original one-act plays.
