Pasco County Animal Services is Over Capacity – Pet Adoption Fees Waived September 11 – 13

Every adoption includes spay/neuter, vaccinations, and microchipping. The only cost is a small county license fee for county residents.

Pasco County Animal Services (PCAS) is officially over capacity — with dogs now being housed in temporary pop‑up crates — and they’re launching a waived‑fee adoption weekend to help get pets into loving homes.

From Friday, 9/11 through Sunday, 9/13, all pet adoption fees are waived.

Every adoption includes spay/neuter, vaccinations, and microchipping. The only cost is a small county license fee for county residents: $10 for cats and $15 for dogs. Adopters also receive a free starter bag of dog or cat food and every pet can go home the same day — including Foster‑to‑Adopt animals.

Event Hours:
• Friday & Saturday: Noon–6 p.m.
• Sunday: Noon–5 p.m.

As a Save 90 shelter, PCAS does not euthanize healthy animals for space or length of stay — which makes community participation critical during times like this. Our team members are feeling the strain and many dogs are experiencing elevated kennel stress due to overcrowding.
