NEW PORT RICHEY, FLA. (Monday., May 11, 2026) — The Freedom 250 Truck Mobile Museum is coming to New Port Richey, offering a one-of-a-kind, immersive experience that brings America’s founding story to life as the nation approaches its 250th anniversary. The traveling exhibit will be open to the public May 28-30, from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. daily at 6128 U.S. Highway 19. The exhibit is free and open to the public, making it an ideal outing for families, students, and history enthusiasts.

Designed to educate and inspire visitors of all ages, the Freedom Truck features an interactive, walk-through exhibit highlighting the people, moments, and milestones that shaped the United States’ journey to independence. Through compelling storytelling and engaging visuals, guests can experience history in a dynamic and accessible way.

“This is a unique opportunity for our community to connect with the story of our nation,” said City Manager, Debbie L. Manns. “As we look ahead to America’s 250th anniversary, experiences like this help bring history to life for residents and visitors.”

Parking and Transportation:

Free parking is available at the City’s Parking Garage and throughout Downtown New Port Richey, including surface lots. Visitors are also encouraged to take advantage of the Downtown Area Roundabout Trolley (DART), which operates Thursday through Saturday from 5:00 p.m. to midnight. Real-time tracking is available via QR codes at designated stops.
