PASCO COUNTY, FL  —-  Slash away stumbling blocks preventing student success!  The 9th annual Two Good Soles Shoes and Socks Drive is underway with Pasco County Government and Constitutional offices working together to collect footwear for kids in Pasco County Schools through October 23, 2024.

You can donate new shoes and socks in collection boxes at Pasco County Government locations and the Pasco County Clerk & ComptrollerProperty Appraiser and Tax Collector offices.

“A simple pair of shoes and socks can make a world of difference for a child in need – and go a long way,” says Board of County Commissioners Chair Ron Oakley.  “We’re committed to supporting our students and giving them the resources they need to thrive both in and out of the classroom.”

In 2023, we collected more than 3,000 pairs of shoes and nearly 6,000 pairs of socks!  Since 2016, the event has collected 18,340 pairs of shoes and 45,685 pairs of socks.  Social workers distribute the items to Pasco students.

Types of new shoes and socks to consider donating include:

  • Children’s shoes / sizes 9 and up
  • Adult shoes in all sizes
  • Socks in all sizes / neutral colors
  • Closed-toe shoes / no flip flops

All new shoes and socks will be donated to Pasco County Schools at the end of October.
