Those old tires lying around are collecting water and attracting mosquitoes. In order to battle the upcoming onslaught once the rainy season begins, Pasco County is hosting a free drop-off week at multiple sites.
With rain in the forecast this week, it’s the perfect opportunity for residents to dispose of unwanted tires before they collect standing water and become mosquito production sites.
This community initiative helps reduce mosquito production by providing Pasco County residents with a free and convenient way to properly dispose of old tires, which often hold water and contribute to mosquito populations.
- FREE for: Pasco County residents (proof of residency required)
- Limit: Up to 24 tires per resident
- Not accepted: Commercial loads, tractor tires, tires with rims, or debris-filled tires
- NO Commercial Loads
- Tires must be free of debris
