The Celebration Will Take Place on Wednesday, November 19, 2025

WHAT: Saint Leo University will officially welcome its 12th president, Dr. Jim Burkee with a Day of Service and Celebration on Wednesday, November 19, 2025. As part of the welcome celebration, the university community will dedicate the day to serving others, reflecting Saint Leo’s core values and Catholic Benedictine heritage. Classes will be canceled to allow students, faculty, and staff to participate in volunteer projects on campus and throughout the Tampa Bay region, with more than 800 volunteers expected to take part. Online students and those at Saint Leo’s five education centers will also participate in service projects in their local communities.
