Pasco County, FL — Pasco Appraiser Gives is proud to announce the approval of two sites for Gold Star Families Memorial Monuments in Pasco County.

This landmark project, spearheaded by a dedicated volunteer team in coordination with the Woody Williams Foundation and Pasco County Parks, Recreation and Natural Resources, aims to provide a place of reflection and remembrance for the families of fallen heroes who made the ultimate sacrifice.

Gold Star Families Memorial Monuments are substantial, two-sided tributes constructed of black granite. The selected locations at Veterans Memorial Park in Hudson and Wesley Chapel District Park will offer serene, respectful environments where family members and the community can come together to pay tribute.

The effort is the culmination of a shared vision by Honorary Board Members Jacques Hakim and Pasco County Property Appraiser Mike Wells, advanced by a volunteer team including Gold Star parent Craig Gross, Brendan Fitterer, Lisa Shippy-Gonzalez, Morgan LaValle and Cristina Cordon.

“Gold Star Families represent an honor no one wants to experience,” said Jacques Hakim. “They are the immediate family of fallen service members who died while serving in a time of conflict, left to live with the enduring loss. This is our chance to respectfully honor their legacy and sacrifice for generations to
come.”

“Both monuments and the surrounding installations will be entirely donor-funded,” said Mike Wells.
“Local businesses, organizations and individuals alike have a unique opportunity to support this legacy
project that will be a poignant tribute within our community.”
