What’s What New Port Richey

“No worries getting a parking space,” I told my husband as we headed downtown for his favorite part of Chasco – Gulf Side Corvette Club’s annual car show.
It certainly wouldn’t be nearly as busy as the day prior, when we lined up with the rest of the spectators for the annual street parade.
I was wrong.
The streets were literally flooded with car enthusiasts and whoever they dragged with them to point out the cars of their youth, the ones that got away, the ones they’d like to own now, just to hop into for a Sunday afternoon ride.
Being married to an enthusiast who once worked in the auto body business, sometimes restoring some of these old rides, I’ve attended my fair share.
I’d venture to say this is likely the largest gathering at Chasco, so see the 350-plus rides lined along Main Street, Grand Boulevard, and a little beyond.
Kudos to the organizers for presenting such a well-attended show.
