A turn of the calendar to June means we are officially in hurricane season. If you’ve lived in Florida and made it through Milton, Irene, and Helene, you should know the drill.

Seven days’ worth of supplies, including food, water, medicine, and pet supplies. Batteries. Propane. Rain gear. A Go Box with all your important papers. Cash. An evacuation plan. A “days and weeks-after” plan.

Just to name a few.

Fortunately, there are several helpful official websites to tap into to find useful information and helpful hints for area residents. I’ve compiled a list of sites that I’ve found helpful, and will be adding to it and will updating it as the season progresses.
