By Michele Miller What’s What New Port Richey
Shore fishing has become a newer interest for the old man, a skill to pursue that includes many, many variables and a lot of luck I’m learning as I sit on the shore reading a book and watching him take it all in our “retirement” years. I understand and appreciate the lure of tackling something new and challenging that keeps your brain thinking and gives you someplace to go.
And it turns out, sometimes just being by the shore, listening to the rhythmic lapping waves and watching the widening ripple of a well-thrown cast on the blue-green Gulf of Mexico or a local fishing hole soothes the soul in unmeasurable ways.
Go ahead and get on out there, today, tomorrow, next weekend, whatever.
And do scroll down to check out the slide show below of some local spots we’ve visited over the years. Maybe it’ll give you a little inspiration.
It’ll be good for you. Now onward – Peace. M
