New Port Richey, FL – March 13, 2025 – Richey Suncoast Theatre (6237 Grand Boulevard) has launched its 2025 Summer Fundraiser with a goal of raising $30,000 to safeguard its essential summer operations and support the passionate staff who bring its youth programs and community performances to life.

This year’s appeal comes at a critical moment for small community theatres. With state and federal arts and culture funding increasingly frozen, seasonal slowdowns, and lingering impacts from recent hurricanes affecting local ticket sales, theatres like Richey Suncoast face immense pressure to continue delivering their mission with limited resources.

Funds raised will go directly toward retaining the theatre’s core staff, ensuring the stability required to maintain vital programs, including youth theatre camps and family productions, that serve as a cornerstone of the community’s cultural life.

“By contributing to our Summer Fundraiser, you’re investing in the dedicated team that powers this theatre,” said Angela Saabia, Board President. “Your support ensures we can continue to inspire, educate, and entertain.”

In recent years, Richey Suncoast Theatre has made incredible progress—revitalizing its programming, expanding youth engagement, and deepening its roots as a community hub. This summer’s fundraiser is an opportunity to sustain that momentum and protect what’s been built.
