Donation to Support Mobile Library Branch

New Port Richey, Feb. 5, 2026 — The New Port Richey Public Library has received a $1,500
donation from the Rotary Club of New Port Richey to support its newest literacy initiative: the
ELROY Mobile Library Branch.

The club was officially recognized at the New Port Richey City Council meeting on February 2,
2026, where Library Director Andi Figart thanked the organization, stating, “We are grateful to
the Rotary Club for its support of ELROY and for helping the Library expand access to reading
and learning materials throughout our city.”

Funds from the donation will be used to outfit ELROY with additional shelving and to expand
the mobile collection, allowing the Library to better serve residents at outreach events,
community locations, and underserved areas throughout the city. The Rotary Club also supported
The Mobile Library Branch, through sponsorship of an advertisement in New Port Richey City
Lifestyle magazine further promoting the service to the community.

The Library extends special thanks to Dr. Don Cadle, a member of the Rotary Club of New Port
Richey, and Cindy Cadle, a member of the Library Advisory Board, for helping facilitate the
connection between the two organizations.

“This donation directly strengthens our ability to reach more residents, expand access to
resources, and bring library services into the community,” said Matthew Ortman, the Library’s
Marketing & Community Outreach Coordinator.
