November 1, 2024

It’s been a time. Fortunately for us time rolls on, the band plays on and we get back to the business of living.

Recovery is a communal effort after these storms, whether we’ve taken a personal hit or not. Never has it been more important to support the arts and local businesses. So if you can get out there, please do.

Music soothes the soul it said, so fortunately there are more than a few local options to choose from this month.

Of special note is the season opener of the Richey Community Orchestra at the Center for the Arts at River Ridge . This orchestra has been around since 1957 when it was founded. All these years later it still puts a spotlight on the super talented musicians who volunteer their time and their talent to bring us an exceptional orchestral experience – strings and all.

Also happening – Richey Suncoast Theatre presents a community production of Agatha Christie’s, Murder at the Orient Express with performances held evenings and matinees over two weekends.

Add to that a couple of comedy nights, movie nights, tribute band concerts, art shows and dinner dance fundraisers for local causes that readers might want to support simply by enjoying a night out. And don’t forget the live music gigs happening mostly on weekends that are hosted by various local establishments.
