Due to concerns about the rainy weather and the safety of riders, performers, and visitors coming into town, organizers of this year’s Cotee River Bike Fest have opted to postpone the event.

According to a posting on the Cotee River Bike Fest Facebook page, the event will be held January 15-17, 2027.

From the post:

We have to consider everyone riding motorcycles into New Port Richey, our vendors loading in and setting up for an entire weekend, multiple stages and production crews, dozens of bands and performers, staff, sponsors, volunteers, and everyone else involved in putting an event of this size together. Even beyond safety, a weekend of repeatedly stopping performances, fighting weather, dealing with soaked grounds, and putting everyone through difficult setup conditions isn’t the experience we want to deliver for the 20th Anniversary.

The good news? January is already coming together extremely well.

Our vendors, bands, and everyone involved have been incredibly responsive, and we’re already seeing commitments come in quickly for the new dates. At this point, we don’t anticipate seeing much change from what was originally planned for this weekend.

This is not the first time the event has been postponed due to weather. After Hurricanes Debby, Helen, and Milton gave Pasco County and the Suncoast a walloping, the event was rescheduled until February 2025 and held again in October of 2025.
