
Stream a movie or television show on your computer or home screen. Get a couple of free passes to the latest theatre production at the Richey Suncoast. Sign up for a foreign language app or take an in-person class. Read the newspaper. See a concert. Take an art class. Pick up some free supplies. Take a yoga class. Meditate. Play chess. Learn how to fill out a resume. Spend an afternoon playing board games or taking in a matinee. Unplug in the park.
Gather with others with similar interests such as songwriting, or board games or find some alone space to do some writing.
Maybe volunteer or see if helping someone learn the language suits you by signing up for a literacy training class.

Tasty Tuesdays, 9 a.m. – 1 p.m. each Tuesday at the New Port Richey Public Library in downtown NPR

Find locally sourced foods, sustainably grown produce, cottage-industry baked goods and foods, hand-made items, and more.
The market is SNAP shopping friendly, so bring your EBT cards to use up to $40 in SNAP AND get an additional $40 in Fresh Access Bucks (FAB) for free, locally-grown produce!
To become a vendor, pick up an application at the Tasty Tuesdays EBT tent. There are no application or vendor fees at this great community market. Applications are being accepted, however, some applicants may be wait-listed until vendor space is available
Space, Science and Technology Come to Life with MAPS, 11 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. Saturday, March 1 at the Starkey Ranch Library in Odessa | $14 per child

Each child will be grouped to explore various aspects of Space, Science and Technology, engaging in hands-on activities and learning experiences designed to spark curiosity and inspire creativity. Adults free with child admission
Board Games for Adults, 2 – 4 p.m. Saturday, March 8 at the Starkey Ranch Library in Odessa

Starkey Ranch Friends of the Library is hosting an adult board game get together. Whether you’re a fan of timeless classics like Monopoly and Scrabble or eager to try out some newer games, there’s something for everyone.
NPR Library Hosts Unplug in the Park, 5:30 – 6:30 p.m. Friday, March 7 in Sims Park in downtown New Port Richey | Free

Bring a book, craft, or any other analog activity to unwind with. Unplug and enjoy the outdoors with friends and neighbors.
We will gather in the grass west of The Hacienda – look for the “Library Event” sign!
Songwriting Workshop, 3 – 4:30 p.m. Wednesday, March 12 at the Starkey Ranch Library in Odessa | For teens and teens

Social gathering for tweens and teens who want to learn how to write music or want feed back on their songs. Please bring your own instruments. Any level of musical knowledge is welcome. If you are bringing your work to show everyone, please make sure it is rated ‘G’
NPR Library Theatre Pass Program | Calendar Girls, weekends March 14 – 23 at the Richey Suncoast Theatre in downtown NPR

Use your New Port Richey Pubic Library card as your ticket to the theatre! As part of the Theatre Pass Program with the Richey Suncoast Theatre, your library card will get you two tickets to a theatre show. To register, fill out the registration form for your desired showing. Print out your email confirmation and bring it to the box office at the Richey Suncoast Theatre.
- The Richey Suncoast Theatre assigns seating. Should you need special accommodations, please call the theater at 727-842-6777.
- Limit one registration per library card per showing. One registration will count for 2 (two) tickets to a show.

A Day of Community & Connection, 10 a.m. – 1 p.m. Saturday, March 15 at the Centennial Park Library in Holiday

Events scheduled for this community event include Family Centered Yoga (10 a.m.), Elfers Plants Sale and Baker House Open House, 10 a.m. – 12 p.m. Giving Tree Drum Circle (12 p.m.) and the Friends of the Library Book Sale, 10 a.m. – 4 p.m.
Piano Performance – Priscilla Fullerton, 2 – 3 p.m. Saturday, March 15 at the Hudson Regional Library in Hudson | Free

Join pianist Priscilla Fullerton for a delightful afternoon of live music. Ms. Fullerton will showcase pieces written by female composers. This concert is free and open to all, but seating is limited.

NPR Library Riverside Concert Series featuring Rene Schlegel, 6 – 7 p.m. Friday, March 21 in Sims Park in downtown New Port Richey | Free

Don’t miss this local favorite set against the backdrop of the beautiful Cotee River.

Registration is required as supplies are limited. Please Note: This class is geared toward adults. The painting techniques are advanced, and the subject matter is mature. - BayCare Health Screening, 1 – 3 p.m. Wednesday, March 12 at the Hudson Regional Library in Hudson. This includes lipid screenings with Blood Pressure, Lipid, BMI, and Glucose checks (all done via finger sticks). Each screening should take about 10-15 minutes per person. Walk-ins welcome.
- BayCare Health Education – Heart Health, 1 – 2 p.m. Wednesday, March 12 at the Centennial Park Library in Holiday. This presentation focuses on heart health, exploring hypertension and atherosclerosis. It offers a brief overview of both conditions, along with a toolbox of modifications to improve heart health.
- Bay Care Health Screenings, 1 – 3 p.m. Wednesday, March 12 at the Regency Park Library in New Port Richey. Lipid screenings with Blood Pressure, Lipid, BMI, and Glucose checks (all done via finger sticks). Walk-ins are welcome.

- Cooking Matters: Food Smarts for Adults with Feeding Tampa Bay, 3:30 – 4:30 p.m. Monday, March 29 at the New Port Richey Public Library. Learn how to make healthy snacks on a budget, how to add more fruits, vegetables and whole grains into your life, and how to choose drinks that support your health

Pasco County Libraries System-Wide Virtual Classes
- English Conversation Group, 2 – 3:30 p.m. Tuesdays and 10 -11:30 a.m. Fridays. This is a fun, casual atmosphere to practice and improve your English. Speakers of all levels are welcome. We have a new topic for every meeting. The class will be hosted by Claudia from the South Holiday Library on Zoom. Intended for adults. - English for Beginners, 10 – 11 a.m. Saturdays. Basic topics such as greetings, simple conversations, and basic grammar. This is an adult class. The class is held on Zoom. Please email the South Holiday Library, sh@pascolibraries.org, to sign up. Registration required.
New Port Richey Library Language Offerings
Local libraries offer ongoing virtual and onsite language classes. Patrons are also welcome to learn on their own through language apps they can access for free through county and city library systems.
- English Next Level, 5:30-7 p.m. Tuesdays at the New Port Richey Public Library. Improve your English skills at the Library! Enjoy a supportive environment to practice conversation and build confidence in your language abilities. This class is designed for those who already know the basics of English and want to improve their grammar and communication skills. Please note that this class is led by volunteers and is not a certified ESOL / ESL course
- Guten Tag!, 11 a.m. – 1 p.m. most Fridays at the New Port Richey Library. Practice your German language skills in an informal and friendly group setting. This group is self-led; class will be led via conversation practice and not with an instructor.

The weekly market is located in the courtyard of the New Port Richey Public Library at 5939 Main Street, New Port Richey. The market is open every Tuesday, rain or shine, from am to pm. Find locally sourced foods, sustainably grown produce, cottage-industry baked goods and foods, hand-made items, and more.
You never know what you’ll find: organic produce, plants, bread, honey, eggs, coffee, skincare, etc. Get to know your growers, ask questions, and learn from their experience
