Pasco County Celebrates Arbor Day with Tree Giveaway

Register now to receive a free tree at one of two Arbor Day Giveaway events being held on January 17 in Pasco County

PASCO COUNTY, FL  —-  It’s the perfect reason – and the perfect season – to celebrate Arbor Day!  In partnership with Keep Pasco Beautiful and the Florida Forest Service, Urban & Community Forestry Grant Pasco County is hosting an Arbor Day Tree Giveaway January 17, 2025.

WHAT:     Arbor Day Tree Giveaway (Preregistration required)

WHEN:    January 17, 2025 – Arbor Day (Times vary by location)

WHERE:  UF/IFAS Extension Pasco Count, 36702 County Road 52 and  Frances Avenue Park, 5580 Frances Ave in New Port Richey

Click HERE to preregister for a free tree (first come, first served) and to get details about participating in a free tree-planting seminar in Dade City or a hands-on tree-planting event in New Port Richey, both part of the Arbor Day Celebration. Only one tree per person; trees will be in three-gallon pots.

Pasco’s Board of County Commissioners declares January 17, 2025, Arbor Day and encourages everyone in Pasco to plant and preserve trees.  Protecting our natural environment helps increase property values, boost the vitality of our business districts, and enhance the overall beauty of our community.
