PASCO COUNTY, FL —- Another year, and we’re breaking more records! Our volunteers picked up more than 23 tons of trash throughout the county during the 2025 Greatest American Cleanup – one of our largest and most successful cleanup events ever!
During the March 1, 2025, event, more than 1,020 volunteers fanned out in public spaces – along
roadsides and around waterways – covering 50 locations throughout Pasco County.
Here’s a breakdown:
46,560 lbs. (23.28 tons) of trash collected
50 locations around Pasco County
1,027 volunteers
3,240.5 volunteer hours logged
$108,524.34 cost-benefit
Keep Pasco Beautiful hosts the Greatest American Cleanup with corporate funding assistance. The
event’s success is a result of collaboration and assistance from Pasco County Solid Waste, Pasco
County Recycling, Pasco County Environmental Compliance, Pasco County Parks, Recreation, and
Natural Resources, Reworld Pasco, and Tampa Bay Water.
The Greatest American Cleanup is one of two annual cleanup events in Pasco. Keep Pasco
