PASCO COUNTY, FL  —-  Pasco County Fire Rescue (PCFR) is stepping up our game, ensuring that when floodwaters rise, we’re ready to respond faster and more effectively than ever.

PCFR is adding two new inflatable rescue boats, motors, scupper sets, and essential accessories to our rescue fleet – all thanks to a $30,000 grant from Firehouse Subs Public Safety Foundation®.  This generous gift couldn’t have been timed better and will significantly boost our ability to handle water rescues.

“These new rescue boats are vital to our emergency response, which many of our communities relied on during last year’s unprecedented hurricane season in Pasco,” says Fire Chief Ryan Guynn.  “When floodwaters rise, every second counts.  This equipment will help us reach flood victims quickly and safely, ultimately saving lives.”

In just two years, PCFR’s swift water rescue fleet has grown to include six inflatable rescue boats and two Jon boats.  This expansion ensures that when severe flooding threatens our community, the Special Operations team can move swiftly to safely assist those in need.

Pasco Fire Rescue is dedicated to serving and protecting the people of Pasco County through community risk reduction strategies.  We provide professional, compassionate responses to calls for service while striving to educate our community.  To learn more about Pasco Fire Rescue, visit: mypas.co/FireRescue.
