Marlowe Jones Announces Campaign Kickoff Celebration at Sims Park on February 28

Media Release | February 23, 2026
Marlowe Jones Campaign

New Port Richey, FL – Community advocate and mayoral candidate Marlowe Jones is inviting residents from across the city to join him for his official Campaign Kickoff on Friday, February 28th, from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at Sims Park in New Port Richey.

Held on the final day of Black History Month, the kickoff represents more than the start of a campaign—it marks the continuation of a legacy rooted in community empowerment, civic engagement, and local leadership. Jones has long been known for his hands-on involvement throughout New Port Richey, and this event reflects his ongoing commitment to meeting residents where they are.

“This campaign is about people, not politics,” says Jones. “It’s about listening, learning, and building a city government that reflects the voices of the community.”

The kickoff will be a family-friendly, community-first gathering featuring BBQ, open conversation, and opportunities for residents to share their ideas and concerns directly with the candidate. Rather than formal speeches filled with political talking points, attendees can expect honest dialogue, real connection, and a grassroots atmosphere designed to foster unity.

Jones’ willingness to engage openly with residents—whether in parks, community meetings, or one-on-one conversations—has become a defining element of his campaign. The February 28th event is an extension of that accessibility and transparency.

Residents are encouraged to:

  • Meet Marlowe Jones personally
  • Hear his vision for a city powered by people
  • Share their hopes and ideas for New Port Richey
  • Connect with neighbors in a welcoming environment

“Bring your family, bring a friend, and bring your appetite,” Jones adds. “Let’s kick this off the New Port Richey way—together.”
