Free Community Series Brings Krav Maga, Taekwondo, and More
to Downtown New Port Richey

NEW PORT RICHEY, FLA. (Tue., June 2, 2026) – The City of New Port Richey expands its summer lineup of free community programming to include Thrive on the Square, a new monthly wellness series designed to introduce residents and visitors to a variety of movement, mindfulness, and self-improvement experiences. Participation is free and no prior experience is required. Attendees are encouraged to wear comfortable clothing and arrive a few minutes early before each session begins.
Hosted on the second Saturday of each month from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at Cavalaire Square, Thrive on the Square offers free, beginner-friendly sessions led by local instructors and wellness professionals. The series is open to all ages and skill levels, providing an opportunity for participants to explore new activities in a welcoming outdoor setting.

The four-session series includes:
- June 13: Krava Maga and self-defense demonstration with KMMA Studio Krav Maga & Martial Arts
- July 11: Taekwondo experience with Master Lee’s United Taekwondo
- August 8: Tai Chi Gung with Lindsey
- September 12: Sound Healing with Nina
The program reflects the City’s continued investment in creating vibrant public spaces and accessible experiences that encourage community connection, wellness, and lifelong learning. The series complements New Port Richey’s growing calendar of community events, including Motion on the Square, Sunshine Sessions, Concerts in the Park, and other family-friendly programming.
