The Pasco Hernando Chapter of SCORE is hosting a series of free workshops during July for small business owners wanting guidance or information on various topics, including health insurance, finances, and how to apply for 501c3 non-profit status.   • Health Insurance Options for Small Business, Tuesday, July 13, from 5:30 to 7 p.m. at the SMARTstart West Pasco Entrepreneur Center, 4532 US Hwy 19 1st Floor, New Port Richey. (727) 478-0670. When it comes to choosing a health insurance package for a small business, the devil is in the details. One form of health insurance benefit will meet needs better than another depending on business characteristics and employee makeup.
  • How to Assess Your Finances and Make Better Business Decisions, Thursday, July 22, from 5 to 6:30 p.m. at the SMARTstart West Pasco Entrepreneur Center, 4532 US Hwy 19 1st Floor, New Port Richey. (727) 478-0670. Financial numbers are the result of past business decisions. Successful owners use them to drive winning initiatives. In this seminar, learn how to use existing financial information to achieve better performance by improving the quality of your decisions. This seminar will be held in a socially distanced conference room.
  • How to Apply for a 501c3 Thursday, July 29, from 1 to 3 p.m. at the Hernando Chamber of Commerce, Hernando Chamber of Commerce, 15558 Aviation Loop Dr., Brooksville. This interactive seminar will assist participants in the completion of the IRS’s 501c3 application to become approved as a non-for-profit. Learn key steps in the process as well as how to structure the organization.
