Directors, stage managers, and production designers are welcome to apply by April 15, 2026
March 30, 2026
Richey Suncoast Theatre and Creative Director Jess Glass are excited to announce technical interviews for the 2026–2027 season. We are looking for a new cadre of directors, stage managers, and production designers to lead the mainstage shows in our upcoming season.

Below is a link to the interest survey for anyone interested in being considered for any of the production team positions for the 2026–2027 season. Please complete all sections of the form to the best of your ability.
During your interview, you will be asked to describe your vision for the top one (or two) shows you are interested in working on.
* Directors – Please take time to prepare your thoughts regarding costumes, set design, and props—especially if there are any special items you may need for the production. If you have access to any of the items you need, or if you already have production team members in mind, please have that information ready as well.
* Stage managers, music directors, choreographers, and technical designers – Your interviews will primarily focus on your experience. We encourage you to bring examples of your past work.
* For directors and stage managers:
We ask that applicants commit to only one production at a time. The time requirements for these roles do not allow for simultaneous work on outside productions. Please do not apply for a production if you are already committed elsewhere during the eight weeks leading up to our performances.
* All applicants:
If you are hired for a show within the same timeframe as our production and later accept a contract elsewhere, please notify us immediately so that we can find a replacement.
Rehearsals:
Each production will have up to 30 rehearsals, plus tech rehearsals and performances. The exact rehearsal schedule will be determined based on cast availability.
TECH REHEARSALS ARE MANDATORY
Tech week rehearsals are 100% mandatory and may run later into the evening. Please be aware that we must run the full show each night, which may extend rehearsal times. Anyone with an active role during performances—including actors, crew, and production team members—must be available and present for all tech week rehearsals.
Please fill out this form before noon on April 15 to be considered for a role on our technical teams:
