~~Change allowing more hands-on, lifesaving work begins April 13~~
LAND O’ LAKES, FL —- Pasco County Animal Services (PCAS) announces new hours for our Adoption Center beginning April 13, 2026, improving focus on dog playgroups, reducing wait time and customer service.
WHAT: New Adoption Center Hours
WHEN: Monday & Tuesday | Closed
Wednesday & Thursday | Noon – 5 p.m.
Friday & Saturday | Noon – 6 p.m.
Sunday | Noon – 5 p.m.
“Opening Sundays is expected to increase adoptions and return-to-home rates,” says PCAS Director Gary Herrero. “By offering additional rest time for animals and enhanced opportunities, we anticipate a reduction in kennel stress and an improved overall experience for both pets and customers.”
We’re also updating hours for the following:
- Vaccine Clinic | Wednesdays & Thursdays | 8 a.m. – Noon
- Surgery Day (fosters & rescues) | Tuesdays
Animal Control will remain on a Monday – Friday schedule, with emergency response on nights and weekends.
