Richey Community Orchestra Mission Statement
The Richey Community Orchestra opens the 2026 – 2026 season on Sunday, November 15 with a nod to cinema and the music weaved through Hollywood movies such as Jurassic Park, Titanic, Superman, and Harry Potter. It the first of six shows featuring the RSO with and one of three shows this season featuring the singers in Richey Community Chorus – on show performed on their own, sans the orchestra – with a variey of guest soloists featured at the other concerts. General seating shows are held at the Center for the Arts at River Ridge in New Port Richey. Two dinner shows are held at the Spartan Manor, also in New Port Richey.

Movie Madness, 3 p.m. November 15, 2026 at the Center for the Arts at River Ridge. The Richey Community Chorus, joins the RCO with a massive medley of nine themes from James Bond movies, including Goldfinger, Skyfall, Nobody Does It Better, and Live and Let Die and more.
Sounds of the Holidays Dinner Concert, December 13, 2026 at the Spartan Manor in New Port Richey. Featuring the Bella Voce Quartet singing classic holiday songs in four-part harmony. Cocktails & Dinner at 1 p.m. Show at 3 p.m. $55
Broadway’s Best, 3 p.m. February 21, 2027 at the Center for the Arts at River Ridge. Featuring soloists John D. Smitherman and Stephanie Kelly singing tunes from My Fair Lady, West Side Story, Porgy and Bess, Jekyll and Hyde and Phantom of the Opera. The RCO will play highlights from Broadway favorites South Pacific, Moulin Rouge, Chicago, The Sound of Music and The Music Man. $20.
Vintage Vibes, 3 p.m., March 7 at the Community Congregational Church in New Port Richey. The RCO Chorus steps out on its own for this show of classic 50s tunes with Rock Around the Clock, Shake, Rattle and Roll, Hold Me, Thrill Me, Let the Good Times Roll, Jailhouse Rock, and more. $15.
The Wild Blue Yonder, 3 p.m., April 18, 2027, at the Center for the Arts at River Ridge. The Richey Community Chorus will take you around the moon with hit songs including Fly Me to the Moon, How High the Moon, Old Devil Moon, Artie Shaw’s theme song, Moon Glow, and Van Morrison’s Moondance. The RCO is on board with music from The Wild Blue Yonder, including themes from Star Trek and Apollo 13. $20.
Mother’s Day Pops Dinner Show, May 9 at Spartan Manor in New Port Richey. Guest soloist Belinda Brodsky is the lead vocalist with the dynamic band Gypsy Star, as well as the variety dance band, Serenading the Moon. The Orchestra will play songs by Gloria Estefan, Barry Manilow, Billy Joel, and George Gershwin. Cocktails and dinner at 1 p.m. Show at 3 p.m. $55.
