PASCO COUNTY, FL  —-  When it comes to ensuring safe, professional building standards, Pasco County is leading the way.  Pasco’s Building Construction Services Department (BCS) has earned prestigious accreditation from the International Accreditation Service (IAS).  According to IAS, Pasco is the only U.S. county in our population range (500K – 1M) to receive this distinction.

“I’m thrilled to extend my congratulations to our Building Construction Services team on achieving IAS accreditation,” says Pasco Board of County Commissioners Chair Kathryn Starkey.  “This prestigious honor reflects the department’s unwavering dedication to our community.”

IAS accreditation places Pasco in an elite group of about 30 building departments nationwide that operate with the highest standards, including top-quality permitting, plan reviews, inspections, and code enforcement.

BCS achieved accreditation by an independent authority performing rigorous on-site assessments and comprehensive reviews of competence and quality management industry standards.  This recognition isn’t just a seal of approval – it’s a performance tool that strengthens our ability to serve Pasco County with a focus on:

  • Public Safety
