What’s What New Port Richey
Believe it or not, it’s getting to be that time of year again. As with Florida’s hurricane season, there’s much ado about the prep.
Marjorie’s Hope, a local non-profit that tends to the needs of school children and educators in Pasco County who might need help with that, is already gearing up for that.

Through Marjorie’s Hope Outfitters, a boutique-type store located on the campus of Wendell Krinn Technical High School, students are given the opportunity to shop for clothing for free with a referral from an approved agency from August 3 – 7 and August 10 – 12.
For more information, click here.
Organizers are currently working to expand teen clothing inventory and want to know what today’s teenagers are actually wearing. They are asking teens to do a little online “window shopping” and send screenshots of clothing, shoes, and styles they would wear. Please send screenshots, links, or photos to debi@marjorieshope.com.
Want to Donate? Needs include new or gently used teen clothing. Boys’ and girls’ clothing in ALL sizes. Sneakers and shoes in ALL sizes. Hoodies, jeans, shorts, tops, athletic wear, and more. Donation Drop-Off Location: Wendell Krinn Technical High School Front Office, Monday–Thursday from 8 a.m – 4 p.m. Place donations in boxes labeled Marjorie’s Hope and include your name, phone number, and/or email address.
Marjorie’s Hope Backpack Program

Each year, Marjorie’s Hope also donates roughly 5,000 backpacks filled with school supplies, hygiene supplies, and Bombas socks to schools in Pasco County, which are then distributed to students in need. Access information about that and a list of needed items here.
Marjorie’s Hope Cinderella & Prince Charming Project
Donations of Homecoming and Prom attire and accessories are appreciated and accepted year-round, regardless of whether the items are new or gently used. Items are accepted during operating hours at shopping locations during Homecoming and Prom season. During the off-season, send a message to debi@marjorieshope.com, and donors will be directed to a nearby drop-off location or can arrange a pick-up. For information, click here.
