Pasco County Commission meetings are traditionally held every other Tuesday, either at the West Pasco Government Center in New Port Richey or the Pasco County Historic Courthouse in Dade City. Planning Committee meetings are held on the first Thursday of each month at the Historic Pasco County Courthouse, Second Floor Board Room, Dade City, and on the third Thursday of each month at the West Pasco Government Center, Board Room, New Port Richey (except September – fourth Thursday and December – no meeting due to holiday). The Pasco Board of County Commissioners (BCC) Meeting Wednesday, September 9, 2026, beginning at 10 a.m., in the Historic Pasco County Courthouse Boardroom in Dade City, will be streamed online and broadcast live on Pasco Television. Members of the public can take part in the meeting in-person or virtually.

- To participate in the Public Comment section of the Agenda: Virtually, during the meeting, you must pre-register by completing a Public Comment Form or by calling Customer Service at 727.847.2411 by 4 p.m. on September 8, 2026. In Person: You can address the Board from the podium inside the boardroom. You can also e-mail comments and any supporting materials to pcadmin@mypasco.net. Please note: we are not able to accept flash drives or other plug-and-play devices for presentations. E-mails will be sent to Board members; however, e-mails will not be read aloud at meetings and will not be included as part of official meeting records, unless authorized by the Board.

PASCO COUNTY, FL —- The Pasco County Metropolitan Planning Organization (MPO) special meeting Tuesday, September 1, beginning at 3:45 p.m. in the Historic Pasco County Courthouse Boardroom in Dade City, will be streamed online and broadcast live on Pasco Television. September 1 MPO Regional Merger Workshop

PASCO COUNTY, FL —- The Pasco County Metropolitan Planning Organization (MPO) will hold a regional merger workshop Tuesday, September 1 at 2 p.m. in the Historic Pasco County Courthouse Boardroom in Dade City.

Board members will engage in a comprehensive review of the draft regional organizational structure, evaluate the proposed Interlocal Agreement and Memorandum of Understanding, and consider additional key components essential to advancing the proposed regional merger initiative.

Starkey Appointed to Two Statewide Policy Committees

~~Policy committees guide legislative priorities for the 2027 Session~~

PASCO COUNTY, FL —- Pasco County Commissioner Kathryn Starkey steps into expanded statewide leadership as she joins both the Florida Association of Counties’ (FAC) Community & Urban Affairs Policy Committee and the Federal Policy Committee. FAC President and Pinellas County Commissioner René Flowers appointed Starkey to these roles.

FAC’s policy committees develop and evaluate policy positions that strengthen local home rule and shape the association’s Legislative Action Plan, guiding FAC’s advocacy efforts for the coming year.

“I’m honored to represent Pasco County and contribute to statewide efforts that support smart growth, infrastructure and strong federal partnerships,” says Commissioner Kathryn Starkey. “These committee roles ensure local perspectives remain central in decisions that impact our communities and quality of life.”

Commissioner Starkey’s one‑year terms include collaboration with FAC’s executive committee across both committees to develop and recommend legislative platforms for the 2027 Legislative Session.

In her roles, she will help guide policy discussions on growth management, development and zoning, transportation, Strategic Intermodal System planning, and affordable housing. She’ll also focus on issues where authority and impact originate at the federal level – ensuring Florida counties have a strong voice in national policy matters affecting local communities.
