What’s What New Port Richey

Here’s a special section to keep you informed about the activities of Pasco County Commissioners, who serve as the legislative and policy-making body in one of Florida’s fastest-growing counties.

These are your elected officials, who serve staggered four-year terms. You may want to keep up with their activities, attend a meeting, or review the agenda to see if there is something you, as a constituent, would like to weigh in on.

Readers are encouraged to check out the Pasco County Commission website on their own at www.pascocountyfl.net/County-Commissioners to find info on who represents your district, their contact info, and more useful information for the members of the Pasco County community.

  • Planning Committee meetings are held on the first Thursday of each month at the Historic Pasco County Courthouse, Second Floor Board Room, Dade City, and on the third Thursday of each month at the West Pasco Government Center, Board Room, New Port Richey (except September – fourth Thursday and December – no meeting due to holiday). For information on development and planning, click here

  •  The Pasco Board of County Commissioners (BCC) will hold a workshop on Tuesday, July 7, 2026, beginning at 9 a.m., in the Pasco County Utilities Building in Land O’ Lakes. Elected officials and senior leaders from Pasco County Government will discuss capital projects for the upcoming budget year. Community members are welcome to attend the workshop, but there will be no public comment. The meeting will be streamed online and broadcast live on Pasco Television. A recording of the workshop will be available on Pasco County’s YouTube Channel. To see the agenda, when available, click here: mypas.co/BCCAgenda.
