- New Port Richey Public Library’s ongoing programs that are held regularly include Rhymes to Readers Story Times, Kids Yoga, Quigong, Medicare Basics with SHINE, Writers Workshop, Language Classes, Movies, ESOL Classes, Walking Club, and The Tasty Tuesday Community Market which is held each Tuesday in the Library/City Hall courtyard. The Chopin Project returns to Pasco County Libraries with a memorizing performance by internationally acclaimed pianist, Matthew Graybill.
There will be a performance at Hudson Library at 2 p.m., and another at Starkey Ranch Theatre at 7 p.m. These concerts are FREE with limited seating being first come, first served.

Community Bird Walk, 3-4 p.m. Wednesday, March 6 at the Centennial Park Library in Holiday
Watch the birds as they get chatty before bedtime around the library: warblers, chickadees, and titmice regularly visit the mature oaks, and hawks like to stop by, too!
Bring your questions about birds. The library will supply the binoculars. This is a family-friendly event, but all minors must be accompanied by an adult. Waivers are required for each person attending this program.
- Photo Scanning, 10 a.m. – 12 p.m. and 2-3 p.m. each Tuesday. Tuesday Loft doors open for patrons who already know how to use our photo scanners in the morning while patrons new to photo scanning can schedule an appointment for the afternoon.
- Open Loft – Cozy Crafting: Painting with Coffee, 2-5 p.m. Thursday, March 7. Try your hand at Coffee Painting! It’s fun and it smells delicious. Expert guidance will be available. Materials provided. Free.
- STEM for Homeschoolers: Toothpick Bridges, 12-1 p.m. Tuesday, March 12. This program is intended for ages 8-17 (18 if they are in school). Registration is required for this event. This event will take space near the patio space, depending on the weather.
- Teen Movie Night: The Avengers, 5-7:30 p.m. Tuesday, March 19. This is a teen-only event (13+). Snacks and juice will be provided. Registration is required and a liability waiver must be filled out by parent/guardian before you attend the event. The waiver can be found HERE and the program title must be ‘Teen Movie Night’. This program will cover all of the Teen Movie Night’s at Centennial Park.
- Tween Craft: Felt Gnome, 4:30-5:30 p.m. Wednesday, March 20. Make a gnome out of cardstock paper, felt, and glue dots! No liability waiver is required for this activity. Registration is required.
- Writer’s Workshop: Your Story Matters, 2-4 p.m. Saturday, March 23. Join published author, Mary Staller, as the breaks down the obstacles between where you are now and being a writer. Everyone has a story to tell, the trick is just knowing how to tell it. No prior experience is needed. Experienced writers welcome.
- Teen Advisory Board, 5-6 p.m. Wednesday, March 27. Help plan future youth programs while getting volunteer hours.

The Thursday Musicale is a non-sectarian community-based choral group of up to 50 women. This concert is free and open to all but seating is limited. For information, check out the FB page here.

- Book Club: The Woman in the Library, 2-3 p.m. Wednesday, March 13. Join others for a casual conversation about this month’s book, The Woman in the Library by Sulari Gentill. Come meet new people and share your opinions. Stop by the desk to pick up a copy of the book.
- Monday Morning Movie – Wonka,10:15 a.m. Monday, March 26. Come watch a recently released movie. Bring your own snacks and drinks but fresh popcorn will be served. This is a free program and it is open to all ages!
- Library Lego Club, 2-3 p.m. Saturday, March 30. Come complete the building challenge or create something from your own imagination. This program is for LEGO fans of ALL ages and blocks will be provided.

West Pasco’s Female Pioneers, Friday, March 8 at the Peace Hall in downtown New Port Richey, Saturday, March 9 at the Richey Suncoast Theatre, and 6 p.m. Thursday, March 28 at the New Port Richey Public Library | Free
This original theatrical performance explores the lives of some of the most important women in the town’s history, including Marjorie Sims, Minnie Broersma, Clemmie Butler, Ruby Copeland, Mittye P. Locke, Frances Demarest (Bonnie Ravenhall), Emma Rowan, Martha Oelsner, Janet Lewis, and Julie Obenreder.

The NPR Public Library continues this free music offering held at 6 p.m. on selected Fridays. The March 15 concert features an acoustic duo, Los Dos.
- Lucky Duck Scavenger Hunt, all day every day through March 30. Find the ducks hidden around the children’s library! Fill out your answer sheet and return it to the desk to receive a small prize.
- Spanish for Beginners, 11 a.m.-12:30 p.m. Tuesdays.
- Follow My Lead: Introductory Dance Classes, 4-5 p.m. Wednesdays. For adults. Rafe Banks of the Hacienda Hotel leads this month-long series. Salsa and swing your way through the library, learning a new dance style each week. No experience is required – just bring your enthusiasm and a willingness to learn. Please register to reserve your space.
- Women’s History Month Film Screening: On The Basis of Sex, 5-7 p.m. Thursday, March 14. (middle school, teens adults.) This movie will be shown in honor of Women’s History Month. The film examines the life of former Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg. Popcorn will be provided. Rated PG-13. Runtime: 2 hrs.
- Craft Supply Swap, 11 a.m.-12 p.m. Saturday, March 16. Swap your unused craft supplies for some new-to-you items! The swap will open for everyone at 11 am, but those who donate items in advance will receive an early entry ticket for 10 am. Advance donations can be dropped off at the Member Support desk beginning on March 4.

- Murder Mystery: Murder at 10,000 ft., 5-7 p.m. Thursday, March 14. This is a 1980s-themed Murder Mystery event where attendees will get into character to solve the mystery of who committed a murder on flight 423 to Grand Cayman! Further instructions and character roles will be sent out to all registered attendees at least 3 days before the program. This program is for adults. Light snacks and refreshments will be provided on theme with the event.

Master Gardeners | Nature
Ask a Master Gardener and Hummingbird Program, Wednesday, March 6 at the Hudson Regional Library in Hudson
Master Gardeners of the Pasco County Extension will be on hand in the library lobby from 5-6 p.m. to answer general questions. A talk on Florida hummingbirds and how to attract them to your garden will be from 6-7:30 p.m.
- Master Gardeners: Succulent Care and Propagation, 5:30-6:30 p.m. Tuesday, March 19 at the New Port Richey Public Library. This is a beginner’s seminar for those wanting to know more about caring for the succulents they have and how to propagate them. Samples of several types of succulents will be presented, along with cuttings that will be available to take home and try your hand at propagating. The instructor will go over soil preparation and the most helpful tools and how to use them. Several resources will be included to learn even more about these fascinating plants and expand your collection.
